Recycling

Vaalia shares our consumers’ commitment to the environment and recycling.

Our 900g tubs are made of a material that is recyclable. However policies on waste collection, recycling and disposal services vary from council to council, so please check with your local council to see that Vaalia tubs will be accepted.

The cardboard sleeves on our four pack and twelve pack tubs are recyclable and are made from 75% recycled material.

Our smaller tubs can also be recycled and an increasing number of local councils are collecting this material for recycling

All Vaalia tubs can be reused in a number of ways. A few ideas are listed below and if you have any other thoughts please email us so we can share them with others.

Wash the tubs and remove the labels then use them for:

• kids craft projects and stacking cups
• put a hole in the bottom fill with potting mix and use to grow out seedlings before planting
• freezing leftovers, juices and other bits and pieces, the small tubs, especially the Vaalia My First Yoghurt, are perfect for child sized potions for small tummies
• scoops in flour, rice or sugar tubs
• freezing large ice cubes for punch or water coolers
• 900g tubs are perfect for creating ice blocks for pets on hot days, use stock or water and put in a few treats
